Technical characteristics of the object
This example demonstrates the capability of our system to integrate and present three-dimensional object models within the context of digital collection infrastructures. The implementation is based, among other standards, on glTF-based data models, which are incorporated into the viewer together with their associated textures. The object can be explored interactively and is freely rotatable, zoomable, and accessible from all perspectives. In this way, collection objects are not only documented but can also be experienced in a spatial dimension, making them valuable resources for research, education, and internal analysis.
This object also demonstrates the integration of bibliographic references into a scholarly context. References linked via K10plus PPN identifiers are automatically resolved during the harvesting process, enriched with bibliographic metadata from the Common Union Catalogue (GVK), and associated with the corresponding collection object. This creates reliable links between collection objects and scholarly literature, opening additional research pathways and enriching the academic context of each object.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn for providing the data and granting permission to use this example within our demonstration environment. Further information about the museum can be found at: https://landesmuseum-bonn.lvr.de
